Briefing Materials -- Observations of Pluto’s Moons.

NASA will host a media teleconference at 1 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, to discuss the Hubble Space Telescope’s surprising observations of how  Pluto’s moons behave, and how these new discoveries are being used in the planning for the New Horizons Pluto flyby in July.

This illustration shows the scale and comparative brightness of Pluto’s small satellites. The surface craters are for illustration only and do not represent real imaging data.

이 그림은 허블우주망원경(HST)의 데이터를 바탕으로 컴퓨터 모델링을 통해 명왕성의 위성들의 모습을 보여준다. 또한 이 그림은 명왕성의 작은 위성들에 대한 크기와 상대적인 밝기도 보여준다. 위성 표면의 크레이터들은 실제 사진 데이터가 아닌 단지 예를 보여준다.
