Crescent Venus and Moon.

Did you know that Venus shows phases? Through a telescope, it can look like a tiny, featureless crescent moon. Why does the phase of Venus change? It’s because Venus orbits the sun on an orbit inside that of Earth’s. As a result, we sometimes see a crescent Venus. However, Venus' apparent angular size is about 30 times smaller than the Moon. The photo is a comparison of the crescent-shaped Venus and the Moon (not to scale). Perhaps if you take pictures of Venus and the crescent Moon in very small sizes, it will not be easy for ordinary people to distinguish them. The image is NOT to scale.

금성의 위상(겉보기 모양)이 변한다는 것을 알고 있습니까? 금성은 망원경을 통해 아주 작고 특색이 없는 초승달처럼 볼 수 있습니다. 금성의 위상이 왜 변할까요? 금성은 지구의 궤도 내부에서 태양을 공전하기 때문입니다. 결과적으로 우리는 종종 초승달 모양의 금성을 볼 수 있습니다. 하지만, 금성의 겉보기 각크기는 달보다 약 30배나 더 작습니다. 사진은 초승달 모양의 금성과 달을 비교한 것입니다 (크기는 실제와 맞지 않음). 아마도 금성과 달을 매우 작은 크기로 사진을 촬영한다면 일반인들은 이들을 구별하기가 쉽지 않을 것입니다. 사진은 실제 겉보기 크기와 맞지 않습니다.
