The Full Sun Imager (FSI) of the Extreme Ultraviolet Imager (EUI) on board the ESA/NASA Solar Orbiter spacecraft captured a giant solar eruption on 15 February 2022. Solar prominence is a large plasma and magnetic field structure extending outward from the Sun's surface, often in a loop shape. This is the largest solar prominence eruption ever observed in a single image together with the full solar disc.

ESA/NASA의 솔라 오비터(Solar Orbiter) 우주선에 탑재된 극자외선 이미저(EUI)의 전면 태양 이미저(FSI)는 2022년 2월 15일에 거대한 태양 분출을 포착했다. 태양 홍염은 종종 루프 모양으로 태양 표면에서 바깥쪽으로 뻗어 있는 큰 플라즈마 및 자기장 구조이다. 이것은 전체 태양 원반과 함께 단일 이미지에서 관측된 가장 큰 태양 홍염 분출이다.

Solar Orbit에서 촬영한 거대한 태양 분출 사진을 제가 다시 이미지 처리를 했고, 그 사진을 APOD에 제출하였습니다. 제 이름이 웹페이지에 포함되었네요. APOD에 출판된 사진은 ESA 웹사이트에 있는 원본 사진으로 올라왔네요.

I imaged a photo of a giant solar eruption from Solar Orbit. I submitted the photo to APOD and my name was included in webpage. The image published on APOD have been uploaded as original photos on the ESA website.
