토성의 충 Saturn Opposition

토성의 충.

천칭자리에 있는 토성은 한국 시간으로 5월 23일 09시 53분에 충을 맞이합니다. 즉, 요즘이 토성의 관측 최적기라는 말이지요. ^^ 토성은 남동쪽에서 해가 질때 떠오르고, 북서쪽에서 동틀녘에 집니다. 토성은 0등급으로 전갈의 머리 부근에서 쉽게 찾을 수 있습니다.

Saturn Opposition on May 23, 2015.

The 2015 opposition of Saturn occurs in the constellation of Libra on May 23, 00:53 (UT). This means it's opposite the Sun in the sky, rising at sunset and cruising overhead all night until setting near sunrise. Saturn is low in the southeast as night falls, near the head of Scorpius, the scorpion. It looks like a bright golden star(0.0 mag).
