2020 Orionid Meteor Shower (Orionids, ORI).

The radiant rises around 10 PM, so no Orionids will be visible in the evening hours. As the radiant rises in the morning hours, so does the number of Orionids and you can expect the highest number in the hour or two before dawn. This year is a good year for the Orionids, as Moon is out of the sky in the evening hours, providing dark skies for observers. The first Orionids appear on October 2, slowly building up to a rather prolonged maximum on October 21 and then diminishing.

 

오리온자리 유성우는 10월 2일부터 11월 7일까지 주로 활동하는 유성우입니다. 올해 극대기는 10월 21일 14시 21분 (한국시간)으로 낮이므로 시간상 좋은 조건은 아닙니다. 시간당 유성수(ZHR)는 약 20개입니다. 하지만 올해는 한밤중에 달이 없는 상황이라서 평상시보다 많은 유성을 관측할 수 있을 것 같습니다.

관측 최적기는 10월 21일 새벽과 22일 새벽입니다.
