시상도 좋지 않고 바람도 많이 부는 환경이었지만 최근에 맑은 하늘을 만나기 힘들어 기록 차원에서 촬영해보았습니다.

- 올해 예측 :

올해 사분의자리 유성우의 극대기에 한국은 한밤중이지만 달빛이 밝아서 관측 조건은 좋지가 않습니다. 시간당 유성수(ZHR)는 110개로 예상합니다. 하지만 극대기에 밝은 달빛의 영향으로 실제로 관측 가능한 유성의 수는 매우 줄어듭니다. 사분의자리 유성우의 특징은 유성이 비교적 날카롭고, 종종 긴 궤적을 그리는 유성을 볼 수 있습니다. 이 유성우는 대략 초속 41km로 보통 속도의 유성우이며, 대체로 청색 계통의 희미한 빛을 보여 줍니다. 사분의자리 유성은 페르세우스자리 유성우와 비슷할 만큼 상당히 밝은 편입니다. 이 유성우는 1등급보다 밝은 것이 전체의 약 20%를 넘고, 또한 떨어지는 영역도 복사점 부근보다는 전 하늘에 고르게 떨어집니다. 사분의자리 유성우는 다른 유성우에 비해서 짧은 시간대(약 2시간)에 집중적으로 나타났다가 사라지는 모습을 볼 수 있습니다. 올해 사분의자리 유성우의 관측 최적기는 1월 3일 21시부터 1월 4일 04시까지입니다.

만일 사분의자리 유성우 관측 및 사진 촬영을 계획하고 있다면 한겨울 방한 대책을 잘 세워서 건강 관리에 유의하시기 바랍니다.
